I believe in a comprehensive approach to music education. Above all, students should feel excited about learning music, so as much as rigorous practice and disciplined exercised do yield excellent results, in my teaching I always make sure we are having fun too.
I believe in a comprehensive approach to music education. Above all, students should feel excited about learning music, so as much as rigorous practice and disciplined exercised do yield excellent results, in my teaching I always make sure we are having fun too. I teach with an interdisciplinary approach meaning that I build musicianship and artistry into my teaching alongside solid pedagogical techniques that reference the latest in brain science. Good teaching is about calculated inquiry and collaboration. My students learn best when I guide them through a process of discovery. I teach my students to be active listeners and to delve into their own process of inquiry. I want them to eventually know themselves to be their best teacher and me to be their trusted guide.
