The intermediate band series is slightly more advanced than the introduction series. Students are required to have at least one year playing experience on their instrument. All students will be given drum, vocal, guitar, bass, and keyboard tutorials in a band setting. Students will learn how to jam with other musicians. Focus will be on improvisation and rhythm comping.
Songwriting techniques will also be taught. All students will rehearse and perform songs from their favorite bands and artists. Each participating student will have the opportunity to enter a recording studio to record one original song with his/her band mates. This is included in the cost of the program.
The program is once a week for an hour in length and is for a maximum of six people. Band member combinations may include up to three guitarists, two vocalists, a bassist, drummer, and keyboardist.
With a little experience under your belt, you will advance in this course with tutorials in improvisation, rhythm comping, and song writing. Enjoy jam sessions with your band and record an all-new song!
