As a teacher, Holly's goal is to keep students love of music strong by helping choose repertoire that student's enjoy. Holly provides strong theoretical and technical skills for students to reach their full potential of expression. She enjoys creating a comfortable environment where students feel at ease. This safe space helps students feel free and gives them the confidence to experiment and explore their own unique sound. This in turn helps build the student's confidence and in turn makes them a better singer, player, and performer. Building self-confidence also helps create consistent musical and vocal development.

Holly tailors each lesson to the wants and needs of individual students creating a sense of fun as well as a good rapport with them. She teaches students to be mindful when performing and learning by focusing on the technical and physical process of singing and the avoidance of listening to and judging their personal sound.

As an educator, Holly believes she has a responsibility to ensure students have healthy voices no matter what repertoire they wish to sing. Good technique is good technique. In the course of her professional career as a singer, teacher, and student, Holly is able to share her past and present learning experiences with people of most ages and abilities.
