So as much as rigorous practice and disciplined exercise do yield excellent results, Patrick always makes sure his students are having fun too. Patrick teaches with an interdisciplinary approach meaning that he builds musicianship and artistry into his teaching alongside with solid pedagogical techniques that reference the latest in brain science. Good teaching is about calculated inquiry and collaboration. Patrick's students seem to learn best when guided through a process of discovery. Patrick teaches his students to be active listeners and to delve into their own process of inquiry. He wants them to eventually know themselves to be their best and for him to be their trusted guide.
